Danny Rubin

Danny was a founding member and lead guitarist for the band Just Water, who from 1973-1979 appeared at the infamous CBGB’s and Max’s Kansas City as many times as any bands of their era. Danny was also a featured vocalist on many of Just Water’s popular songs, including Singin’ In The Rain, which was released on Stiff Records (as well as Branded Records) in 1978 and received significant airplay.

In 2009 Just Water regrouped to record several singles. In 2020, they released the album “Zero To Sixty”.

In 2021 Danny released his debut solo album “Discord and Dat Chord”. Danny is also an accomplished songwriter, both on his own and within Just Water. He continues to record with Just Water and as a solo act.

Fellow Just Water bandmate and founder of Branded Records, Mitchell Dancik claims that “Danny’s guitar solo on the coda of the Just Water song “Branded” is up there with the best ever recorded, and he could pull it off every night”
